 Due to ongoing company growth throughout North Queensland, we are seeking a reliable, motivated, and experienced Electrical Engineer/Supervisor to join our Electrical Construction Projects Team in Townsville on a permanent, full-time basis.

The successful candidate/s will be primarily responsible for design and delivery of BMS projects. Planning, coordinating, and managing Mechanical Electrical Construction projects involving Commercial Installations, Breakdown Support, Solar Solutions, and Mechanical Electrical Controls for Peak ARE’s diverse and extensive commercial client base.

This role is placed within our Service Department working alongside our Mechanical & Electrical Projects Teams, supported by our Safety and Administration teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities

To be successful in this role and join our team, ideally you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Commitment to the production of high-quality work and the ability and desire to always deliver exceptional customer service.
  • The ability to work autonomously and within our team.
  • Implement BMS technical solutions for client projects.
  • Integrate with electrical, hydraulic, fire, vertical transport, security, CCTV, mechanical, IT and other systems via BACnet, MODBus and web services.
  • Working with IP Networks/ICT system configurations to support the execution of the BMS systems.
  • Developing points lists, product selections, functional descriptions, control diagrams and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Onsite commissioning of the BMS to ensure full operation as per functional description and client requirements.
  • Contributing to meeting project objectives in scope, schedule, and cost
  • Overall supervisor of the mechanical electrical installation team

 Essential Criteria, Qualifications and Licence Requirements

  • Current QLD Electrical Licence
  • Drivers Licence, Scissor lift ticket and other associated construction licences
  • Available for immediate start
  • Construction Induction Card
  • First Aid Certificate/LVR
  • Good character - reliable and honest
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
